VACCINATION INFORMATION

Non-Committed Standby

A Non-Committed Standby is when a customer requests a paramedic ambulance crew to cover an event and standby for emergencies, but the ambulance is NOT committed to the event. MEDIC EMS will assign a crew to the general geographical area in which the event is occurring when one is available. In the event of a request for an ambulance in this area, or should the Emergency Medical System become very busy, the crew will leave your standby event. A Non-Committed standby does not guarantee a paramedic ambulance crew at your event. There is no charge for a Non-Committed Standby and all patients transported are billed the normal established transport rates. It is important to note that if your event is in the Iowa Quad Cities or Scott County, you will receive prompt paramedic service by calling 911. To reserve an ambulance for your event or for more information about our standby services, please contact (563) 323-1000.

Committed Standby

A Committed Standby is when a customer requests a committed paramedic ambulance crew to come to their event and standby for emergencies. The ambulance is dedicated to your event for the pre-determined, contracted amount of time. MEDIC EMS does charge the event organizers a fee for this service and all patients transported are billed the normal established transport rates. To reserve an ambulance for your event or for more information about our standby services, please contact (563) 323-1000.

Bike Medic Standby

A Bike Medic Standby is when a customer requests a paramedic bike crew to cover their event and standby for emergencies. Our bike medic crews carry Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipment with them and are prepared for most medical emergencies. In the event that transport to the hospital or additional medical attention is needed, the crew will utilize a cellular phone or portable radio to contact MED-COM and dispatch an ambulance. MEDIC EMS does charge the event organizers a fee for this service and all patients transported via ambulance are billed the normal established transport rates. To reserve your BIKE MEDIC team for your event or for more information about our standby services, please contact (563) 323-1000.
