NATIONAL REFRESHER

Continuing education classes are important for EMS professionals to stay on top of their field. This is why MEDIC EMS co-presents the Advanced/Paramedic Refresher and the Basic/EMT Refresher courses with Scott Community College every year. The program is open to all first responders and registration is done through the Eastern Iowa Community College EMS Program.  Please check back for information on the 2020 dates.

MIKEY MEDIC
Mikey MEDIC is a 3-feet tall radio-controlled ambulance. He drives, talks, smiles, and winks. Children of all ages enjoy his unique methods of interaction and education. Mikey teaches important information on using the 9-1-1 system, ambulance familiarization and seatbelt and helmet safety. He effectively interacts with youth and teaches them at their level of understanding. This friendly, child-interactive tool is the only one in the Quad Cities Community. Programs are tailored to each class’s needs and last from 30-45 minutes. To invite Mikey to your school or community event, call Jeremy Pessman at (563) 323-6806. Reservations are required.
